The University invites applications from highly motivated candidates with interests and skills in science administration for the position of Grants - Manager (Grants Administration). The Grants - Manager will be part of the Dean's office of Research and Partnerships and will work closely with the Dean and Associate Dean.
Purpose of the role
Identify opportunities, design and develop strategies to support the grants administration process at the University. Provide support to faculty members in managing, writing new grant proposals, liaison with granting agencies and finding new sources of funding. Ensuring compliance, following the grantor's guidelines. Conducting workshops in grants writing and management. To provide support to the other activities of Dean office of Research.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Award
Identify new funding opportunities and sources that align with the University's mission.
Maintain and update the funding database and share the details of new grant options with faculty members.
Assist faculty in developing and submitting proposals, ensuring compliance with the sponsoring agency's requirements.
Provide training to the new faculty on grants management and Proposal writing.
Post-Award
Monitoring fund flow, timely submission of reports, and statement of accounts for extramural grants.
Provide support to faculty members and researchers for effective utilization of grants by navigating internal processes.
Collaborate and liaise with administration, finance, and other relevant departments for implementation of the grant
Other
Maintain accurate records of grant applications, awards, and other relevant documentation.
Develop strategies that can improve and optimize grant administration processes.
Constant engagement with sponsoring/granting bodies (Government / Private).
Maintaining and building relationships with funders and other strategic partners on a local, state, national, and international level.
Facilitate collaborations with industry and contract research opportunities.
To provide support to other activities of the Dean Research office.
Qualifications
Master / PhD in any Science subject

Budgeting and accounting experience including Tally and ERP
Knowledge of auditing policies
Knowledge of donor agencies

* Overall 10-15 yrs of prior work experience. Experience of working in Academic sector at a University level is preferred.
