Position Summary

We are looking for a highly experienced and hands-on Grant Writer with a proven history of securing funds from global foundations and international donors. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in education-focused grant writing, especially in Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) and Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN). This role will support resource mobilization efforts by creating compelling proposals, reports, and managing donor relationships.

Scope of Work:

Securing high-value funding opportunities.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables

Identify and assess at least 5 high-value grant opportunities aligned to the mission. Facilitate conversion of at least 2 Big Bet Fundings. Develop high-quality, compliant, and competitive proposals aligned with donor expectations and programmatic priorities. Pursue future big bet grants independently, including tools, templates, and processes that foster institutional scalability.

Required Qualifications & Experience

8-15 years of experience in grant writing and fundraising within the social development sector, particularly in education. Demonstrated success in securing funds from global foundations, bilateral and multilateral agencies (e.g., UN, World Bank, Big Philanthropies). Experience in FLN preferred. Strong understanding of donor priorities and global trends in education funding.

High attention to detail and comfort working in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. Proficiency in preparing budgets and reviewing financial documents.

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: Up to ?2,000,000.00 per year
