Job Description

Calix provides the cloud, software platforms, systems and services required for communications service providers to simplify their businesses, excite their subscribers and grow their value.
Responsibilities:Assist in configuring and troubleshooting builds for cloud-based microservices. Support branch management and code promotion under guidance. Learn and help automate build and deployment processes using tools like Jenkins/Bamboo and Argo CD. Gain hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes). Work with artifact repositories (Artifactory, Nexus) for managing build artifacts. Document workflows and assist in creating FAQs and technical guides. Collaborate with team members to understand CI/CD best practices. Learn and apply Atlassian tools (Jira, Bitbucket, Bamboo) for issue tracking, source control, and build management. Participate in AI-driven initiatives such as predictive build failure analysis and automated pipeline optimizations. Ability to learn new software and technologies quickly. Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment. Detail-oriented. Approaching problems and creating solutions.

Qualifications:Knowledge with Linux/Unix, PHP and/or shell scripts. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is a plus. Experience with Java, Python, Go, NodeJS/JavaScript or any other programming languages. Understanding of CI/CD concepts and DevOps practices. Strong willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment. Self-motivated and results oriented. Ability to interact with cross-functional teams. Strong problem-solving abilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. A thorough understanding of computer architecture, databases, operating systems, and data structures.

Preferred Skills:Exposure to Docker/Kubernetes. Basic understanding of REST APIs and YAML. Good communication and problem-solving skills. Interest in AI/ML concepts applied to DevOps automation.

QualificationsBachelor's in Computer Science or related field. Should have graduated in 2024/ 2025
