Job Summary
We are seeking a
Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET)
to support supply chain operations in an
Aerospace & Defence
environment. This role is ideal for fresh graduates or candidates with up to
1 year of experience
who are keen to build a career in supply chain management, sourcing, and planning, while gaining hands-on exposure to real-world manufacturing and procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in
supply planning and material availability
tracking to support production and project schedules.
Support
procurement and sourcing
activities, including RFQ preparation, data collection, and
vendor follow-ups
.
Monitor and help manage inventory levels, including
shortages and excess
materials.
Coordinate with production, engineering, quality, and procurement teams to ensure smooth material flow.
Maintain and update ERP/MRP data, including BOMs, lead times, and planning parameters.
Support the analysis of supplier performance, delivery timelines, and lead-time adherence.
Assist in basic cost analysis, reporting, and preparation of supply chain dashboards.
Support the resolution of day-to-day supply chain issues under the guidance of senior team members.
Utilize and develop proficiency in
digital sourcing and procurement tools
to analyse
component availability, pricing, lead times, and supplier options, supporting data-driven sourcing decisions.
Eligibility & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in
Engineering
(Electronics, Mechanical, Industrial, or related disciplines).
0-1 year of experience
or fresh graduates with a strong interest in supply chain management.
Basic understanding of
supply chain concepts
, procurement processes, and inventory management.
Willingness to learn
EMS-specific workflows and industry practices
.
Basic proficiency in
MS Excel
and data handling.
Good written and verbal communication and coordination skills.
Preferred (Good to Have)
Internship or academic project exposure in
EMS, manufacturing, or supply chain functions
.
Familiarity with
ERP systems
(SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics, or similar).
Basic understanding of
electronic components, BOM structures, and sourcing challenges
.
