The Role
Purpose / Mission
As Technology and application scouting engineer - your mission is to explore current & future Technology landscapes aligned with Divisional needs.
You shall achieve this by actively contributing to the Technology scouting Team in GECIA, dedicated for and engaged with respective Divisional Technology teams and become their preferred partner in creation of Transformative Technologies.
To remain first in mind first in choice and identify technology that transform future, Technology scouting team primarily focus on to introduce new product features, promote sustainability & circularity, drive cost optimizations, develop new markets, improve speed of business, map technology lifecycles, recognize disruptions and reap benefits / reduce risks.
Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring industrial product concepts to life and improve existing product designs to enhance user experience, marketability, and manufacturability.
• Develop creative product concepts and design solutions based on market research, client requirements, and brand directions.
• Collaborate with engineering, marketing, and manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility, cost-efficiency, and alignment with technical requirements.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to iterate on designs and optimize the user experience.
• Direct Colour/Material/Finish for the designed products.
• Curiosity, attention to details / good observation skills & clear communication skills, think user-centred design, problem-solving approach.

What we expect of you?

• The ideal candidate should be a fresher (B-Tech Design / M-Tech Design) with experience in designing innovative, functional, and aesthetically appealing products.
• Should have extensive experience in ID tools
• Proficient experience in 3D modelling with CAD software, Procreate, Figma, Fusion 360, and rendering in Keyshot.
• Strong communication skills and business networking abilities.
• Should be able to communicate their ideas through sketches and quick 3D modelling.
• Strong understanding of design principles, ergonomics, and materials.
• A team player with a customer-focused mindset and a proactive approach.
• Openness to work on any technical topics based on Business need.
