Ability to work on projects with minimal supervision Membership of the ICE (or similar organization) A willingness to travel to overseas countries within the region. Site investigation techniques with experience in supervising field investigation works a distinct advantage. Describing soil and rocks to international standards. An understanding of Geotechnical Interpretative Reports including recommendations for deep and shallow foundations and shoring works. An understanding of foundations within soils and rocks. An understanding the analysis of shoring walls including Diaphragm, Secant, Contiguous, King post etc. Knowledge of software packages such as WALLAP, Pdisp, Slope W or similar. An understanding of various ground improvement techniques.
