Google Apps Script Developer

Job Title: Google Apps Script Developer Location: In-Person (Goregaon / Company Premises) Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Experience: 1 to 5 years Working Hours: 9 Hours Timing: 09:30 AM to 6:30 PM , Monday to Saturday

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Google Apps Script Developer to design, automate, and optimize workflows across Google Workspace. This role focuses on building scalable automation solutions, integrating third-party APIs, and developing custom tools that significantly improve productivity, data accuracy, and operational efficiency across departments. The ideal candidate will take end to end ownership of scripting projects from requirement gathering and solution design to deployment, documentation, and ongoing support. This role is best suited for someone who enjoys solving business problems through smart automation and process optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Google Apps Script Development Develop and maintain custom Google Apps Script-based solutions across Sheets, Docs, Forms, Slides, Gmail, and Drive. Build automated workflows, triggers, and scheduled tasks. Create custom UI interfaces such as sidebars, dialogs, and web apps using HTML Service. Develop add-ons, dashboards, and advanced reporting tools. 2. Process Automation & Optimization Automate repetitive operational tasks to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency. Design scalable automation solutions that ensure accuracy and reliability. Optimize and refactor existing scripts for performance, better structure, and error handling. 3. API Integrations Integrate external APIs using REST services. Work with Google Cloud Vision API for OCR, image labeling, and document parsing workflows. Handle API authentication (API keys, OAuth2). 4. Data Management & Workflow Design Build tools for automated data extraction, transformation, and reporting. Implement structured data workflow within Sheets, Drive, and other Google Workspace apps. Create central data management systems to improve business insights. 5. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with Sales, HR, Operations, Finance, and other departments to gather requirements. Translate business needs into efficient technical solutions. Provide demos, documentation, and training to stakeholders when required. 6. Maintenance, Monitoring & Support Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to scripts or integrations. Maintain code repositories, logs, and technical documentation. Ensure reliability of automation tools and workflows built with Apps Script.

Skills & Competencies:

Technical Skills: Proven experience with Google Apps Script (JavaScript-based environment). Strong understanding of APIs for Sheets, Forms, Docs, Drive, and other Workspace tools. Hands-on experience integrating Google Cloud Vision API. Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript for building custom UI components. Good understanding of JSON, REST APIs, and data parsing. Ability to design scalable and maintainable automation frameworks. Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Ability to understand business processes and convert them into automation workflows. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Detail-oriented with an emphasis on writing clean and structured code.

Preferred Background:

1-5 years of relevant experience in scripting, automation, or workflow development. * Experience with Google Workspace Add-ons, internal tools, or automation projects is a plus.
