Job Title: Gold Loan Appraiser

Job Overview

The Gold Loan Appraiser is responsible for accurately assessing the purity, weight, and value of gold pledged by customers for loan processing. The role ensures compliance with company policies and regulatory standards, maintaining integrity and customer trust in the appraisal and loan disbursement process.

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately evaluate gold by measuring weight, purity, and quality using manual and technological assessment methods. Calculate the current market value of gold based on purity and prevailing rates. Verify customers' KYC, complete loan documentation, and assist in online registration processes. Maintain detailed records of all gold appraisal and loan transactions. Participate in customer service activities including addressing queries and building long-term relationships. Support marketing and field activities to increase the branch's gold loan portfolio through lead generation. Ensure strong follow-up for interest collection to minimize NPAs and maintain portfolio quality. Adhere strictly to operational procedures, compliance requirements, and company policies. Collaborate with branch staff to ensure smooth loan processing and customer satisfaction. Handle cash transactions related to gold loans and maintain cash safety norms.

Qualifications & Skills:

Graduate with 1-2 years' experience in gold appraisal, preferably in NBFC or banking sector. Solid knowledge of gold purity tests, current gold rates, and valuation techniques. Basic computer skills for data entry and registration processes. Strong customer service orientation and communication skills. High ethical standards and attention to detail in appraisal and documentation. Ability to work in a target-driven environment with excellent follow-up skills.
