Company Qualcomm India Private Limited Job Area Engineering Group, Engineering Group Software Engineering Function General Summary: Be an expert in Qualcomm Location solution/software/algorithms and release the best quality SW within the project schedule. Own and maintain key features for Location software on embedded platform You would be the go to person in trouble shooting, identify problems reported by customers, analyzing and reporting them to development team, help them to narrow down the root cause and fix problems Assist with management of source code and build automation is an important part of this job. Create and maintain a culture of continuous improvement by evaluating working practices, having code reviews and improving products. Publishing the status and release notes at various stages of the product. Rarely travel might be required within or outside India. Skills/Experience Absolutely needed requirements: At least 3 years of SW development work in C or Assembly on an embedded platform for any portable device with a record of strong individual technical achievement. Java developers don\'t apply. Rich experience in MCU (microcontroller) programming and debugging with very limited memory size (ROM and RAM). Familiarity with prevalent MCU cores such as ARM/MIPS is a must. Should have worked on a sufficiently complex real-time SW module with multiple sub-blocks running on a RTOS. Experienced in stack level debug and using Trace32/JTAG and other such tools. Familiar with at least one source control tool (P4, CVS, SVN, GIT, etc) Experience with compilers/linkers/make files is a must Exposure to build automation & continuous integration Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills are needed. Must be a go-getter and should be able to work in an aggressive, high pressure environment Minimum Qualifications Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. OR Master\'s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience. OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc. Nice to haves (if you don\'t have the above these won\'t matter): Be an expert in solving system level software issues. Experience with Qualcomm platform and familiarity with log analysis is preferred. Familiarity with location technologies such as GPS/Glonass, is a huge plus. Familiar with location solutions on Android or more phone/pad operating systems such as Windows is a plus. Experience with Mobiles test equipment such as Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer, Agilent8960, CMU200 etc. is a plus Education Requirements Minimum M.Tech degree in Electronics and communication related field with 3 years of experience. B.Tech in the same field will be considered if at least 5 years of relevant experience is available.
