Role Category Lead -Convergence Job Level / Designation General Manager / Band M3 Function / Department Digital - Partnerships & Growth Location Corporate Office, Mumbai Context for the new role One of the strategic focus for VIL is to start convergence play (offer Mobility + Broadband+ OTT) to insulate high value customers and create a potential stream for monetization. To this effect, we are building a line of business to sell broadband connections along with mobility under a \'converged\' proposition enabling us to take to our consumers a unified offering with mobility, broadband and content. This will work under a partnership model, wherein we will bring in regional partners (broadband players / ISPs) for different markets. E.g. YBB in Guj & MnG. Given this is a priority, there is a need to get a techno commercial individual leading this agenda for us. Proposal We propose to bring on board a category lead for managing the convergence business. The primary responsibility of this individual would be to set-up & drive this agenda for both Prepaid & Postpaid lines of business. This would mean that the incumbent will have to recruit partners across every circle & facilitate the product & Ops teams to drive the GTM The key metric that this role is expected to deliver is - incremental revenue, along with driving retention of high value customers. Job purpose Set-up & drive new lines of business - Convergence. Take partnerships route to launch a converged proposition that caters to Mobility, Content & Broadband needs of the customer and deliver incremental revenue for the organization as per the business plan. Key Result Areas / Accountabilities Convergence : Drive & Deliver Incremental Customer Base under Convergence & Revenue as per business plan Launch convergence \'prepaid\' proposition Design solution for launching \'postpaid\' proposition under convergence - working through the legal / regulatory / taxation framework Strike partnerships with regional broadband players in each state / circle to enable expansion of convergence play for VIL Drive onboarding & integration of BB partners, build on the relationships and manage operations, and drive reverse business through their channel footprint. New Partnerships & Business Development: Drive strategic partnerships with regional ISP players for prepaid & postpaid convergence arrangements. On-board partners, facilitate product teams to create compelling bundle offers, facilitate GTM execution, drive & deliver incremental revenue through the convergence agenda. Other tasks Drive the delivery of platform and journeys as per the blue-print Work with the technology teams to create and operate the converged product Work with the Digital Team to set-up consumer journeys, points of ingress from various customer journeys across digital channels - Vi app, website, Smart connect App, Partners ecosystem, etc (wherever applicable) Manage key stakeholders at various levels and lead large CFTs to deliver desirable outcomes Create & drive the GTM for all convergence - comms elements, outreach through various channels, integration with CVM, social connect. Work with the prepaid & postpaid product & CVM teams to identify opportunities for embedding with core products / journeys / campaigns Manage top & bottom of the funnel - drive traffic, improve conversions. Work with partners to create exclusive offers Monitor performance, take necessary course correction, deliver on the target revenue, manage NPS Key Performance Indicators Convergence: Customer base & revenue Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience Deep understanding of consumer behaviour, CVM - revenue & retention, (Funnel management), Analytical & Creative Thinking, Stakeholder management & leading large CFT, strong ability to drive Negotiation, Persuasive, Nurturing professional relationships, Industry/market knowledge and expertise, Expert in marketing communications, Nimble, Broad Perspective Adequate experience in Sales & Marketing / Business Development / CVM (CLM), Must have technical / professional qualifications MBA preferred Years of Experience 08-12 years Industries to look from Telco, Broadband, FMCG Ideal Organizations to look from Amazon, Flipkart, FMCG companies, Airtel, ACT, Phone Pe, and the likes Team Size Individual contributor Business Size INR 100 Cr+ revenue
