Job Responsibilities:

• Buying can be related to any category of fabricated component along with machining ( Preferably Hydro industry / heavy Engineering , Power sector )
• Timely sending of RFQs to relevant vendors.
• Prepare comparative statement after negotiating the prices (internal costing) and getting the same approved as per the defined matrix of Voith and able to justify the price.
• Timely Placement of PO in HYSAP on right vendor capable of executing the Order with enough capacity and on right price and able to deliver right quality.
• Ensure that PO must be transmitted along with all the relevant documents (latest versions Drg,ITP,MGS , painting /packing etc )
• Regular follow up with vendor to ensure On time delivery of the ordered component.
• Able to lead the KOM ( Kick Of Meeting) with vendor
• KPI Monitoring
• Aligning the delivery as per shop assembly and dispatch plan (Shortage monitoring)
• To take part in team discussion to strengthen the function
• Participate in the function audit as per requirement.
• New Vendor evaluation & development.
• Align with planning team (sharing the forecast of PO placement and delivery of items) and to meet the unit requirements delivered on time.
• Arrange the credit note for NCR - Cost to quality and LD claim.
• Give forecast cost to project in order they can derive CTC of the project.
• Coordinate between the planning and sourcing execution and buying team - for critical items
• Ensure & lead discussion on shortages and functional issues daily in team meeting
• Ensure correctness of the dispatch document including invoice (HSN code, Price etc)
• Ensure timely payment to vendor by ensuring timely clearance of MIGO from quality and warehouse
• Attend the different functions meeting and able to raise the SMVD issues for timely solution and to listen and share with team the other function - Good team player.
• Manage supplier relationship with good communication.
• Regular Visit / meeting to supplier to analyze its capacity and other critical parameters for heathy supply chain.
• Handling of NCR - Timey resolution of NCR - by doing follow up with different functions and accordingly raise and resolve the claim issue with vendor.
• To initiate the Rate contract or Frame agreement as strategic decision to safeguard Voith from market fluctuation and securing the capacity of vendor as well as ensuring timely delivery of the component. To ease the process of PR-PO for low value but voluminous items. Understand the services which are regular and can be streamlined through long term service contract.
• Resolving the commercial issues if any

Desirable Skills:

• Among the Total 20 - 22 yrs of experiences, 13 - 15 years required in the field of Buying of medium and heavy fabricated / machined component in Heavy Engineering / Project industry.
• SAP Knowledge
• Microsoft Office Internet
• Team player

Minimum 5 years in leading the team of buyers(managerial role)
