Job Description

A General Manager of Service in the automobile industry is responsible for overseeing the entire service department to ensure profitability and high customer satisfaction. Key duties include managing staff, developing and executing strategic plans, controlling the department's budget, and ensuring all operations, such as repairs and maintenance, meet manufacturer and safety standards. This role requires a strong focus on both financial management and team leadership. Core responsibilities

Team and staff management:

Hire, train, motivate, and evaluate all service department employees, including technicians and support staff.

Financial management:

Develop and manage the annual operating budget, monitor financial performance, and set goals to increase profitability.

Operational oversight:

Supervise daily operations, coordinate repair and maintenance work, and ensure adherence to all quality, safety, and manufacturer standards.

Customer satisfaction:

Develop and implement plans to enhance customer loyalty and retention, handle customer complaints, and monitor customer feedback.

Strategic planning:

Develop and implement marketing plans to promote business and create strategic plans to achieve departmental goals.

Compliance:

Stay current with and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations affecting service operations.

Reporting:

Maintain reporting systems and provide reports to senior management as required.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to ?100,000.00 per month
