Role Profile Role title : Lead Siebel Architect Function : Technlogy _VOIS Department: Domains: Oracle CRM & OM Band : F2 Reports to : VP of Telco IT BSS/CRM Location : Pune Ways of Working : Hybrid Direct Report : 9 (DGM, Sr. Managers, Managers level Siebel Architects) Dotted reports : None Role purpose The Lead Siebel Architect (LSA) is accountable to lead and define the strategy for Siebel solution design team and to that ensure team delivers good designs that meet the functionality, security, resilience and performance requirements of the systems. The LSA is a People Manager to a team of expert Siebel Architects leading the technical authority to define schema for Siebel system configuration, development and deployment within the CRM & OM Domain and will advise and collaborate with colleagues in architecture, build and operations teams to ensure the CRM & OM Domain continues to deliver high levels of quality and service to internal stakeholders. And he will also work as an Individual contributor as Lead Siebel Architect as and when required. The LSA will contribute to design and development work on the systems, working collaboratively with onshore and offshore development teams and will advise senior management within the domain to help drive continuous improvement to Domain function and services and to shape Domain technical strategy. Define career path & learning path for Siebel Architects, motivate them to strive for the best deliveries. Key accountabilities and decision ownership .Lead the team who is responsible for domain authority CRM solutions, advising architecture, build and operations staff within the domain on correct configuration, deployment and usage of the systems .Accountable to the Domain Lead to plan good functional and non-functional behavior of the platform. Plan and build designers for optimized solutions, security, capacity and performance. Assess technical risks and issues on the systems. Work with operations and build team colleagues to ensure resolution of technical issues in a timely manner. .As SME, Define strategy for entire Integration Domain on effective design and implementation on the systems during software design and build. .Contribute and also Empower Siebel Architects to contribute to design and development on the Siebel platform, collaborating with onshore and offshore management and leadership team to deliver design and development activities efficiently by them. .Work together with others in the management team to ensure good quality and good value is delivered by the Domain to Vodafone stakeholders and drive continuous improvement of team development practices. Core competencies, knowledge and experience .15+ years of experience with a few years as (senior) Siebel Architect. .Experience in leading lateral roles (architects) and guiding them to right career path in CRM & OM Domain. .Hands on experience as an expert / senior Siebel Architect. .All-round practical expertise with CRM Systems, preferably including working knowledge Siebel. Good general technical understanding of telecommunications architecture, .Ability to communicate effectively within a large software architecture team and influence a wide group of internal stakeholders. Experience of working successfully with external delivery teams. .Shall we well versed with coming up effective strategies to manage technical risks and forecast systems improvement requirements. .Good general software engineering and problem solving skills Customers, supplier and third parties .Direct engagement with Domain delivery partners at a Technical level working with Technical Leads, Designers and Developers. .Close co-operation with the Business, IT and Technology Architecture & Design community across Vodafone. .Expectation management with all internal Vodafone and external supplier senior stakeholders. Technical / professional qualifications .Degree or higher degree in software engineering or related technical discipline .Background in Telco environment. .Engineering knowledge in Oracle\'s Rapid Offer Design and Order Delivery\' (RODOD) solution. In particular, Siebel CRM. .Ability to quickly assimilate technical knowledge from outside own area of expertise Key performance indicators .Delivery of viable plans, proposals and designs to maintain functional and non-functional behaviour of the Siebel platform at high quality, security, resilience and performance .Credible and respected technical authority to the Siebel platform able to advise internal Domain colleagues and other stakeholders and to take action to resolve issues on the platform. .Effective communication and collaboration with Domain colleagues and other stakeholders on technical issues
