Job Purpose

At VI, data drives all of our decision-making. This role in the Big Data and Advanced Analytics gives an excellent opportunity to solve real business problems working on massive and varied data sets.






Data Scientist Responsibilities -





Building key predictive models and analytics products across marketing verticals in the organization

Find ways to combine large-scale experimentation, statistical-econometric, machine learning, deep learning and social-science methods to answer business questions at scale

Use causal inference methods to design and suggest experiments and new ways to establish causality, assess attribution, and answer strategic questions using data.

Work with large, complex data sets. Conduct end-to-end analyses that include data gathering and requirements specification, exploratory data analysis (EDA), model development, and written and verbal delivery of results to business partners and executives.

Collaborate with BI, IT and product development teams

Expertise in writing efficient, modularized and standardized code in

python

Experience of working with

AWS tools and technologies-S3, EC2, EMR, Glue, Sagemaker, Lambda, Dynamo DB, RedShift, Quicksight

In-depth understanding of Feature engineering and selection approaches, Segmentation or stratified analyses, anomaly detection, pattern detection and data transformation approaches. Classification;

Machine/Deep Learning

- Algorithm Evaluation, Dataset Preparation

Assessing the Model accuracy both Statistical as well as Business evaluation (Target Group vs Control Group & overall adoption)

Well versed with writing efficient

SQL

scripts for data acquisition and data aggregation

Help suggest, support, and shape new data driven use cases on AI-ML

Proven expertise with a variety of Machine Learning and Deep Learning techniques across structured and unstructured data sets

Strong hands on proficiency in statistical packages and ML libraries (e.g. Python, R, Spark, SQL, Visualization tools)

Cloud Computing & Architectural Planning - AWS ( EC2, S3,EMR,etc) Deep Learning Frameworks: Caffe, Keras, Theano, Tensorflow, or Torch

Experience working on Big Data technologies (e.g. Hadoop MR, Hive, NoSQL, Spark, Kafka, Graph Databases etc.) Experience in development of interactive dashboards or visualization Javascript and JavaScript libraries, ggplot, Shiny apps, etc.

Self-Starter, Motivated, organize, and excellent communicator Ability to work in cross functional teams to translate business issues into potential analytics solutions

Good Problem solving & Analytical Skills

Quick learner and adapting to changing business needs

Must have technical / professional qualifications

Graduate or Master's degree or PHD in Statistics or Economics or Engineering or a quantitative discipline from top ranked universities with exposure to AI/ ML/ Data Mining
