Position: GM / AVP - Wind Procurement Head

Location: Mumbai (Head Office)

Experience: 18+ Years (Minimum 4-5 Years in Wind Industry)

Industry Preference: IPP (Independent Power Producer)


Key Responsibilities:


Lead end-to-end procurement strategy for Wind Energy projects across India.


Manage sourcing, negotiation, and contracting for major equipment including wind turbines, generators, transformers, and balance of plant components.


Identify and develop strategic vendor relationships with OEMs and service providers to ensure cost efficiency and timely delivery.


Drive procurement planning aligned with project execution timelines and CAPEX budgets.


Oversee tendering processes, commercial evaluations, and supplier finalization in coordination with engineering and project teams.


Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory regulations, and sustainability guidelines.


Collaborate with cross-functional teams -- Engineering, Project Management, Finance, and Legal -- to optimize procurement operations.


Monitor market trends, price movements, and supply chain risks to support strategic decision-making.


Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals to achieve organizational objectives.


Candidate Requirements:


Education: B.E. / B.Tech (Mechanical / Electrical) preferred; MBA or PG in Supply Chain Management is an added advantage.


Experience:


Minimum 18 years of overall experience in procurement/supply chain.


4-5 years of mandatory experience in Wind Energy Procurement.


Prior experience in IPP (Independent Power Producer) companies is essential.


Strong exposure to procurement of wind turbines, generators, and related components.


Proven negotiation, vendor management, and strategic sourcing skills.


Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
