Join our Global Legal Operations (GLO) team!
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated in-house lawyer to join our legal team in India. The successful candidate will primarily focus on project and programme management within the legal department, supporting legal transformation and similar initiatives, and managing deliverables of legal Centers of Excellence and Competence Networks (CoE/CNs). This role requires a unique blend of legal expertise, project management skills, and experience in technology and AI.
Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead legal transformation projects aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the legal departments in the global set up. Develop and present a comprehensive roadmap for legal transformation initiatives, outlining key projects, timelines, expected outcomes and value to the business.
  • Develop and implement strategies for legal process improvement, leveraging technology and AI to automate and streamline various legal operations. Collaborate with other legal departments, supporting local implementation of the initiatives. Establish a robust change management framework tailored to the legal department's needs, including methodologies, tools, and processes for effective implementation across various jurisdictions.
  • Collaborate with other global functions to ensure successful project execution and alignment with business goals.
  • Develop PowerBI dashboards to track legal key performance indicators (KPIs) and measure the success of legal transformation projects. Monitor and report on project progress, ensuring that milestones and deadlines are met within budget constraints, making adjustments as needed.
  • Manage legal CoE/CNs, ensuring action plans are in place and deliverables shared for the benefit of the legal community and the business
  • Provide legal advice and legal support to digital products and technology within Ramboll. Keep abreast of the latest developments in technology and AI.
  • Train and mentor legal community on new technologies and processes being implemented within the legal department.
  • Perform other duties as required to support the legal team and the company's strategic objectives.
Key Deliverables (First 24 Months):
  • Stakeholder Management: Develop strong working relationships with members of the legal community and other key stakeholders to gather feedback, address concerns, and ensure their support for legal transformation initiatives.
  • Programme Management and Performance Metric: Effectively apply change management tools to plan, implement and measure the initiatives. Develop tools to track the roadmap for legal transformation initiatives, outlining progress, KPIs and trends from relevant data.
  • CoE/CNs Management: ensure that the legal subject matter experts regularly contribute to improve efficiency and knowledge sharing within the global legal operations.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent; additional certifications in Project Management (e.g., PMP) and Technology/AI are highly desirable.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in an in-house legal role, with a significant focus on project/programme management, application of technology to the legal space and legal transformation/change initiatives.
  • Proven track record of managing complex projects and implementing technology-driven solutions within a legal framework.
  • Proficiency in technology platforms and AI tools pertinent to the legal field.
