The GIS Developer will be responsible for developing and implementing GIS-based applications, managing spatial databases, integrating GIS services with enterprise systems, and supporting geospatial data analysis. The role involves working with various GIS servers, programming languages, and statistical tools across Linux and Windows environments.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and deploy GIS-based web applications and services using modern programming languages and frameworks.
Configure, manage, and maintain GIS Server environments such as
GeoServer and QGIS Server
on both Linux and Windows platforms.
Design, optimize, and maintain spatial databases using
PostgreSQL/PostGIS, GeoDatabase, and ArcGIS SDE
.
Integrate GIS services with cloud and enterprise platforms including
ArcGIS Online, Azure Maps, and Google Earth Engine
.
Perform spatial analysis, remote sensing data processing, and geospatial visualization for decision support systems.
Develop and manage web map services (WMS), web feature services (WFS), and web coverage services (WCS).
Create custom tools, scripts, and automated workflows using
Python, JavaScript, and C/C++
.
Conduct GIS data modeling, conversion, digitization, and quality assurance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project planning, implementation, and documentation.
Technical Skills Required
Proficiency in
C/C++, JavaScript, .NET, PHP, Python, SQL
Strong knowledge of
GIS Servers (GeoServer, QGIS Server)
Experience with
ArcGIS SDE, Azure Maps, ArcGIS Online, Google Earth Engine
Expertise in

Experience working in
Linux and Windows Server environments
Sound knowledge of
Statistical Packages and GeoDatabase concepts
