22129BR Requisition Number: 22129BR Description: Primary Purpose of Job: Stantec is a leader in global infrastructure, water resource development, Buildings, Mining, Oil and Gas providing engineering design and remediation, construction, procurement, program management, and technology solutions for the environmental, water, wastewater, energy and power markets of the Americas, Europe, Middle East, Asia Pacific region. Stantec is looking for GIS Specialist with expertise in Water/Environment/Roads/Civil applications to be based in the Pune, India office. The GIS Analyst role involves supporting the various Stantec offices globally for different projects include Database Management, Remote Sensing, Satellite Image Processing, Geospatial Analysis using ArcGIS Desktop and ArcGIS Pro, publishing, and hosting services on ArcGIS Online/Portal for ArcGIS (ArcGIS Server). Working knowledge of Web Apps like Arc Collector, Survey123, Workforce etc. Key Accountabilities: . Understanding the client\'s needs and transform the available data into geo-spatial format. . Analyze satellite images and carry the Landuse/Landcover mapping, Supervised/Unsupervised classification using image processing software packages like eCognition, ArcGIS Pro, etc. . Design the data model based on existing survey proforma(s) and could be able to prepare Geodatabase/Datasets/Feature Classes along with required domain/subtypes/dropdown lists/Relationship Classes/Attachments etc. which will be used to publish using ArcGIS Desktop/ArcGIS Pro. . Should be able to customize Map Layout and Publish to ArcGIS Online/Portal for ArcGIS. . Ability to create Web Maps/Web Portals/Dashboards based on client\'s requirements. . Should support to survey contractors by creating Web Map services to be accessed by for Arc Collector/Survey123/Workforce applications for data collections. . Troubleshooting and technical support to survey contractors On/Off the field. . Downloading and post processing of surveyed data. Delivery of surveyed data to various formats depending on the requirements. . Produce maps and reports using surveyed data with required detailing. . Good understanding of Coordinate Systems/Projection Systems. Should be able to transform the projection systems based on working zone. . Should be ready to work in different time zones. Secondments to regions as per project requirements. Title: GIS Analyst Qualifications: . Candidate should have Master/Bachelor\'s in Civil or Environmental Engineering or Masters in Geoinformatics or BSc/MSc Environmental Science with additional GIS Courses. . Should have minimum 6 to 10 years\' experience in ArcGIS/ArcGIS Pro with Water/Environment/Roads/Civil/Mining application related projects out of which minimum 1 to 3 years should be with ArcGIS Server/ArcGIS Online/Portal for ArcGIS/Arc Collector/Survey123/Workforce for ArcGIS. . Knowledge of Model Builder in ArcGIS Desktop/ArcGIS Pro would be required. Development experience using Python Scripting/Java Scripting would be added advantage. . Knowledge of Remote Sensing/Satellite Image Processing using eCognition, /ArcPro Image Analyst would be plus. . Strong analytical capabilities and the ability to work independently. . Good oral and written communication skills. Should be able to write project reports/User Guides/Help Files. . Good presentation skills and requirements gathering skills are an advantage . Should be able to manage workloads while working on multiple projects. . Knowledge of Quality Management Systems would be plus. . Commitment to safe work practices. . International experience will be preferred. . Should be good team player.
