Job Description

The Applications Development Senior support Analyst is a position responsible for participation in the production, business continuity and user testing environment management, maintenance, release coordination, application issue coordinate with component teams, internal or external to solve on going issue and further work on root cause and long-term fix put in place
Role & Responsibilities:

• Be able to work independently as well as within a team
• Works directly with end-users or a projects team to translate business requirements into technical specifications to drive Semantic layer and report
• Modify/maintain existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance.
• Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time constrain.
• Determines operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
• Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.
• Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
• Protects operations by keeping information confidential.
• Provides information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues.
• Analyze and improve application performance, reliability, availability, scalability
• Collaborate with distributed team of developers, QA engineers, analysts

Primary Skills:

• Must have strong Communication skill
• Must have strong database knowledge
• Must have basic/intermediate exposure to scripting language e.g. Python or Perl.
• Must have strong Unix knowledge

Good to Have:

• Banking domain experience
• Experience with build & deployment tools e.g. Jenkins, RLM, TeamCity or uDeploy
• Experience with JIRA and change control tools e.g. Service Now or AIM
• Be able to work independently as well as within a team
• Works directly with end-users or a projects team

Qualifications:

• 5-8 years of relevant experience
• Experience in systems analysis and programming of software applications

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
