A German language trainer for nurses should be able to teach from

A1 to B2

levels, hold recognized

C1 or C2 certification

Key Responsibilities

Teach German language classes from A1 (beginner) to B2 (upper intermediate) specifically targeted at adult learners, particularly nurses preparing to work or study in Germany. Develop and follow structured lesson plans incorporating both general and medical German to enhance work-related communication. Assess student progress regularly and customize training strategies to help nurses clear international exams such as Goethe or Telc certifications. Provide exam strategies, simulate test conditions, and offer practical support for successful certification outcomes.
Essential Qualifications

Certified in German at C1 or C2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) from a recognized institute (e.g., Goethe-Institut, Telc, OSD). Proven experience teaching German, ideally to healthcare professionals, with a track record of preparing students for certification exams. Ability to manage groups, plan and adapt lessons for varying proficiency levels, and use modern teaching methodologies for engaging instruction. Excellent communication skills in both German and, preferably, in English.
Experience & Skills

Experience teaching German to nurses or other healthcare workers is highly desirable, as nurses require not only general language skills but also a command of medical terminology and formal workplace interactions. Should provide guidance on how to integrate language practice with healthcare-specific scenarios (e.g., patient communication, reporting, medical instructions). Motivated, creative, patient, and committed to helping students achieve proficiency and clear required exams for nursing roles in Germany.
