ob Title: Geotechnical Engineering Manager

Experience: 10+years

Reports to: Department Head

Job Summary: The Geotechnical Engineering Manager oversees geotechnical

operations and leads a team of engineers and technicians. This role involves managing

geotechnical investigations, designing foundational and ground improvement solutions,

and ensuring projects meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards. The manager also

provides technical guidance, supports project planning, and collaborates across teams

to deliver cost-effective and efficient geotechnical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership

? Oversee geotechnical investigations, including soil and rock analysis, borehole

drilling, and field tests.

? Provide technical expertise in foundation design, slope stability, earthworks, and

retaining structures.

? Review and approve geotechnical designs, calculations, and reports to ensure

accuracy and compliance.

Project Management

? Manage multiple geotechnical projects simultaneously, ensuring they are

completed on time and within budget.

? Develop project plans, allocate resources, and monitor progress to meet project

objectives.

? Identify and mitigate potential project risks related to ground conditions and

geotechnical challenges

Team Management

? Lead, mentor, and train a team of geotechnical engineers and technicians.

? Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and foster professional growth

within the team.

? Promote a collaborative and innovative work environment to achieve project

excellence

Client and Stakeholder Collaboration

? Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to understand project

requirements and provide geotechnical solutions.

? Represent the geotechnical team in project meetings and presentations.

? Ensure client satisfaction by delivering high-quality services and addressing any

concerns promptly.

Quality Assurance and Compliance

? Ensure all geotechnical activities adhere to local, national, and international

standards and regulations.

? Implement and maintain quality control procedures for investigations, designs,

and reports.

? Stay updated on advancements in geotechnical engineering and incorporate best

practices into processes

Business Development (Optional)

? Support business development efforts by preparing proposals, cost estimates,

and technical documentation.

? Identify opportunities for expanding geotechnical services and strengthening

client relationships

Qualifications and Skills:

Education:

? Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering

Experience:

? A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with at least

2-3 years in a managerial or leadership role.

Technical Skills:

? Proficiency in geotechnical design and analysis softwares (e.g., PLAXIS,

GeoStudio, Geo-5, LPile. Group or similar).

? Strong knowledge of soil mechanics, rock mechanics, and geotechnical

instrumentation.

? Experience in designing foundations, earth-retaining structures, and ground

improvement techniques.

? Excellent leadership and team management abilities.

? Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

? Effective communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

? Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?100,000.00 - ?150,000.00 per month
