Learn more about and how we can .What role you will play in our teamWe are seeking dynamic, creative, and resourceful candidates for ExxonMobil's Bengaluru, India location to work on challenging petrophysical problems in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team of formation evaluation specialists and operations geologists located in Houston, USA. Candidates will conduct applied project work with real well logs, core and well test data, using a variety of software for petrophysical data processing and evaluation. Ideal candidate can work independently on all types of petrophysical log data and be able to interpret complex analyses from raw logs to integrated solutions.What you will doIn consultation with ExxonMobil's Formation Evaluation group in Houston and Business Units, define project objectives, work scopes, and deliverables.

• Contribute to all stages of petrophysical project work, including data preparation, pre-processing, data filtering/augmentation, environmental corrections, and calibration.
• Provide real-time operational support during drilling and completion activities, ensuring accurate and timely petrophysical data interpretation to guide operational decisions as and when required.
• Conduct model-based petrophysical analyses to evaluate reservoir properties and fluid distributions across the lifecycle, while supporting ExxonMobil's efforts to formulate new and innovative approaches to improve the efficiency of multi-well workflows.
• Collaborate with geologists, geophysicists, engineers, and other disciplines, as well as business units, to ensure integrated and accurate petrophysical interpretation in conventional, CCS, and unconventional reservoirs
• Perform sonic log Q.C., rock physics modeling, fluid substitution, well-to-seismic ties, and seismic modeling if needed.
• Work with computational scientists, engineers, and geoscientists to test, deliver, and support various petrophysical software tools, models, algorithms, and software both globally and as part of the team in Bangalore on multiple projects with different business units

About YouSkills and Qualifications

• Master's or equivalent degree, PhD with a minimum 7.0 GPA or equivalent from a recognized university in Geology, Geophysics, Physics, Mathematics or Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of industrial experience in petrophysical/formation Evaluation analyses in support of upstream oil and gas operations.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and take ownership.
• Relevant hands-on experience in any of the following areas across various stages of the field lifecycle, including conventional and unconventional reservoirs, operational support, and seismic rock physics, is desirable.

Preferred Qualifications / Experience

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
• Experience with one or more integrated petrophysical analysis software suites. Additionally, coding experience and knowledge of statistical methods, machine learning, and numerical modeling can be an added advantage
• Proficiency in English.
