processes to evaluate natural resources, assess environmental conditions, and identify
geological hazards.
Key Responsibilities
Geotechnical Investigations and Analysis
? Conduct detailed field surveys, including mapping and geological data collection.
? Perform soil sampling, drilling, and in-situ testing to evaluate subsurface conditions.
? Prepare Rock Mass Rating (RMR) and other geological assessments as required.
? Analyze collected data to provide insights into soil, rock, and groundwater
characteristics.
Project Supervision and Coordination
? Supervise geotechnical site investigations, ensuring adherence to project
specifications and safety standards.
? Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to align fieldwork with
project goals.
? Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and geotechnical guidelines.
Documentation and Reporting
? Compile detailed reports of geotechnical findings, including site conditions, risks, and
recommendations.
? Maintain accurate and organized documentation of field activities, test results, and
correspondence.
? Prepare presentations and technical summaries for stakeholders.
Safety and Environmental Compliance
? Ensure all field operations comply with safety and environmental protocols.
? Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with geotechnical activities.
Qualifications and Skills
Education:
? Bachelor's degree in Geology, Earth Science, or a related field.
Experience:
? Minimum 2-3 years of experience in fieldwork and geotechnical investigations.
Technical Skills:
? Proficiency in geotechnical testing methods and data interpretation.
? Knowledge of geological mapping tools, GIS software, and industry-standard
equipment.
? Familiarity with relevant safety and environmental regulations.
