Job Title: Plant Head / General Manager (GM) - Label Stock Industry

Location: Rai Sonipat Haryana

Reports to: Director / Managing Director

Job Summary:

The Plant Head / GM will be responsible for overall plant operations in the label stock industry, including production, quality control, maintenance, safety, supply chain, and team management. The role demands strong leadership, technical expertise in label stock manufacturing (e.g., pressure-sensitive labels, adhesives, silicone coating), and a deep understanding of lean manufacturing and industry compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership:

Lead day-to-day operations across production, quality, engineering, maintenance, and logistics.

Drive productivity, efficiency, and cost optimization across the plant.

Ensure achievement of production targets, OTIF (on-time in full), and zero-defect delivery.

Strategic Planning:

Develop and execute strategies for plant growth, technology upgrades, and capacity expansion.

Align plant performance with business goals and customer requirements.

Quality & Compliance:

Ensure product quality through stringent quality management systems (ISO, GMP, etc.).

Comply with industry regulations and environmental, health, and safety standards.

Lead audits (internal, customer, and regulatory) and implement corrective actions.

People Management:

Build and manage a high-performance team.

Mentor, train, and retain talent at all levels.

Create a safety-first and performance-driven culture.

Maintenance & Capex:

Oversee preventive and breakdown maintenance of coating, laminating, and slitting equipment.

Plan and execute capital expenditure (capex) for plant upgrades and expansion.

Customer & Vendor Relations:

Collaborate with sales, R&D, and procurement teams to ensure customer satisfaction.

Monitor supplier performance and manage key relationships.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or related).

MBA preferred (Operations or Industrial Management).

18-25 years of experience in the manufacturing industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in label stock or specialty films/papers.

Proven track record in running complex manufacturing setups, preferably with silicone coating, adhesive lamination, or PSA (Pressure Sensitive Adhesive) expertise.

Key Skills:

Strong technical knowledge of label stock production (e.g., coating, lamination, slitting).

Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, and Kaizen.

Leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Excellent communication and team management skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?37,800.00 - ?46,200.00 per month
