Job Summary
The Female General Surgeon is responsible for providing comprehensive surgical care, including diagnosis, operative procedures, and post-operative management for patients. The role involves performing elective and emergency surgeries while ensuring high standards of patient safety, ethics, and quality of care.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Responsibilities
Diagnose and manage surgical conditions requiring operative intervention.
Perform general surgical procedures such as:
Appendectomy
Hernia repair
Gall bladder surgery
Breast surgery (benign conditions)
Minor and major general surgeries
Provide pre-operative assessment and post-operative care.
Handle surgical emergencies and trauma cases as per hospital protocols.
Ensure proper documentation in patient medical records.

Patient Care & Communication
Counsel patients and family members regarding diagnosis, procedures, risks, and recovery.
Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and dignity--especially for female patients.
Work collaboratively with anesthetists, nurses, and other specialists.

Quality & Safety
Follow hospital infection control and patient safety guidelines.
Adhere to NABH / statutory / ethical standards.
Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement programs.
Ensure compliance with standard treatment protocols.

Administrative & Academic Responsibilities
Maintain surgical statistics and outcome data.
Participate in departmental meetings and case discussions.
Contribute to teaching and mentoring junior doctors (if applicable).
Support hospital policies and accreditation requirements.

Qualifications
Education:
MBBS from a recognized medical college
MS / DNB in General Surgery
Registration:
Valid Medical Council / State Medical Council registration
Experience:
0-5 years (or as per hospital requirement)
Freshers with MS/DNB may also apply (if applicable)
