Job Title: General Surgeon

Department: Surgery

Reports To: Medical Director / Chief Surgeon

Job Type: Full-Time / On-Call

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced General Surgeon to join our medical team. The General Surgeon will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients requiring surgical intervention in a broad range of areas including gastrointestinal, endocrine, and trauma-related surgeries. The ideal candidate should be well-versed in preoperative, operative, and post-operative care, and committed to providing high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct patient assessments, order diagnostic tests, and develop appropriate surgical plans.

Perform surgical procedures, both elective and emergency, as per standard protocols.

Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgical assistants, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

Manage preoperative and postoperative care and follow-ups for surgical patients.

Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, patient records, and treatment outcomes.

Participate in case discussions, audits, and continuous medical education.

Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and ethical standards in surgical practice.

Provide consultation and guidance to junior doctors and interns.

Participate in on-call duties and respond promptly to emergency surgical cases.

Qualifications:

MBBS with MS/DNB in General Surgery from a recognized institution.

Valid medical license and surgical registration with [State Medical Council].

Minimum [X] years of experience in a hospital or clinical surgical setting preferred.

Excellent surgical skills and strong decision-making capabilities.

Ability to work in high-pressure environments, especially in emergency settings.

Pay: ?150,000.00 - ?250,000.00 per month
