plays a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of the pharmacy store. This includes assisting in inventory handling, billing, customer support, store maintenance, and supporting pharmacists in dispensing medicines and maintaining compliance with pharmacy standards.
Key Responsibilities:1. Customer Service
Greet and assist customers politely at the counter.
Help customers locate medicines and healthcare products.
Support the pharmacist in explaining dosage and usage (only under pharmacist supervision).
Handle billing and payments accurately using the POS or billing software.
Address basic customer queries and escalate when required.
2. Inventory & Stock Management
Receive, unpack, and arrange stock properly on shelves.
Maintain records of incoming and outgoing stock.
Check expiry dates and assist in removing expired or damaged medicines.
Support in monthly or weekly stock audits and reconciliation.
3. Store Operations
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the store area.
Assist in product labelling and display management.
Follow safety, hygiene, and storage guidelines for pharmaceuticals.
Ensure proper lighting, refrigeration, and temperature control for sensitive products.
4. Administrative Support
Assist in maintaining sales registers and stock books.
Support in preparing purchase orders or vendor follow-ups when required.
Help in updating data in pharmacy management systems.
5. Compliance & Team Support
Follow all pharmacy regulations and internal SOPs.
Support pharmacists and managers in daily operations.
Participate in regular training sessions on pharmacy procedures, customer service, and health awareness.
Qualifications & Skills:Education:
Minimum: 10th / 12th Pass (Preference for D.Pharm or B.Pharm candidates).
Basic computer knowledge is required.
Experience:
2-3 years of experience
in a retail pharmacy or healthcare store.
Freshers with good communication and willingness to learn are welcome.
Skills:
Good communication and customer-handling skills.
Basic knowledge of medicines and over-the-counter products.
Numerical accuracy and billing skills.
Ability to multitask and work in a team environment.
Honesty, punctuality, and positive attitude.
Work Conditions:
Rotational shifts (morning/evening).
May require weekend and holiday availability.
Standing for long periods and handling stock may be required.
Salary Range:
?10,000 - ?15,000 per month (depending on experience and location) + performance incentives
