Job Description

Doctor - Roles & Responsibilities in MMU 1. Clinical Care Conduct general OPD consultations, diagnose illnesses, and provide appropriate treatment. Manage common ailments, chronic diseases, and emergency cases until referral. Prescribe medicines as per government/organizational guidelines. Ensure rational drug use and maintain proper prescription records. 2. Preventive & Promotive Health Conduct health awareness sessions on hygiene, nutrition, maternal & child health, communicable diseases, and lifestyle disorders. Promote immunization and preventive care in coordination with health staff. Guide patients on healthy practices and self-care. 3. Referral & Follow-up Identify cases requiring higher-level care and refer to nearest PHC/CHC/district hospital. Coordinate with referral centers and ensure follow-up of critical patients. Maintain referral records for monitoring. 4. Record Keeping & Reporting Maintain patient registers, treatment records, and digital data entry (if applicable). Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports for monitoring and evaluation. Ensure proper documentation for CSR/donor reporting. 5. Team Collaboration Lead the MMU team, which may include nurses, pharmacists, lab technicians, and health educators. Provide medical guidance and mentoring to paramedical staff. Ensure smooth coordination with local health authorities and NGOs. 6. Quality & Ethical Practices Adhere to medical ethics, confidentiality, and patient rights. Follow standard treatment protocols (as per government/WHO/ICMR guidelines). Ensure infection prevention and control practices inside the MMU. 7. Emergency Preparedness Handle medical emergencies during field visits (first aid, stabilization, referral). Ensure emergency drugs and equipment are always available in the MMU. 8. Community Engagement Build trust and rapport with the local community. Participate in health camps, special drives, and outreach programs. Act as a liaison between community and healthcare system.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
