The Asset Finance Manager will be a key member of the finance team, responsible for overseeing the financial reporting and analysis for the company's asset portfolio. This role requires a strong blend of asset management expertise and technical financial reporting skills. The ideal candidate will be adept at preparing and presenting detailed financial reports, ensuring data integrity, and providing actionable insights to drive strategic business decisions. This position will be crucial in ensuring that all asset-related financial data is accurate, compliant, and clearly communicated to internal and external stakeholders.

Professional Accounting Qualification (CA/CMA or equivalent)

Key Responsibilities





Key Responsibilities:



Asset Accounting:

Manage the end-to-end accounting for fixed assets, including additions, disposals, depreciation, and impairment.

Inter-Company Accounting:

Manage inter-company accounting for assets, including recharges and cost allocations between different entities. Ensure the proper booking and reconciliation related to asset usage.


Work closely with other finance teams to ensure consistency and compliance in all inter-company transactions.

Reconciliation:

Perform monthly reconciliation of the fixed asset sub-ledger to the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and any discrepancies are resolved.

Financial Reporting:

Assist in the preparation of asset-related financial reports, schedules, and disclosures for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Compliance:

Ensure all asset accounting activities are in compliance with internal policies, IFRS/GAAP, and other relevant regulatory requirements.

Data Management:

Maintain the company's fixed asset register, ensuring all asset information is complete, accurate, and up-to-date.

Audits:

Provide comprehensive support for internal and external audits, including the preparation of audit schedules and responding to auditor inquiries related to fixed assets.

Process Improvement:

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of fixed asset accounting procedures.

Collaboration:

Work closely with other departments, such as operations Global Asset Team , procurement, to ensure the timely and accurate recording of new assets and asset retirements.

Budgeting & Variance Analysis:

Manage the master data for all budgeting and forecasting numbers across the asset portfolio. Conduct performance monitoring against budget, providing insightful commentary and variance explanations.


Knowledge and Attributes:




Strong attention to details with a high degree of accuracy. Good verbal and written communication skills. Display good planning and organizing abilities. Knowledge and prior exposure to international entities, foreign currency and inter-company transactions Demonstrated strong knowledge of accounting standards, especially IFRS 15, IFRS 16, IAS 36, IAS 38 etc. Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems like SAP and BPC (added advantage). Able to deal with different individuals at all levels in the organization. Take full ownership of end-to-end scope. Deadline driven with ability to cope with difficult situations. Have a solution-oriented mindset. Proactive approach with the ability to think ahead in a fast-paced environment.
