Job Description
Job Purpose : To handle the inbound and outbound logistics and all commercial related activities of contract units.
Key Responsibilities :
Reduce Cost of logistics through :
- Centrally negotiate contracts related to in bound and out bound freight and monitor the same on a regular basis
- Develop a monitoring system for in bound and out bound freight to track costs and efficiency KPIs including price / mix / depot variances, detentions, permit turnaround times, load ability.
- Identify and implement cost effective transportation (rail / container movement/tankering)
- Transport planning and Inventory Management
Sourcing Planning :
- Ensure that the sales forecast is converted into an optimum production and logistics plan, minimizing inventories, duties, freight and maximizing revenues.
