Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care
Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions in adults.
Provide comprehensive care to patients admitted to general wards, ICU, MICU, or emergency.
Conduct daily rounds for inpatients and ensure appropriate treatment is given.
Attend emergency calls and lead the Code Blue team if required.
Outpatient Services
Conduct OPD consultations and follow-up care.
Coordinate patient investigations and referrals to other specialties when required.
Emergency Medicine Duties
Evaluate and stabilize critically ill patients in the Emergency Department.
Make timely decisions in high-pressure emergencies.
Collaborate with trauma, surgical, and other specialty teams for multidisciplinary care.
Team Leadership
Guide and supervise junior doctors, residents, and nursing staff.
Participate in training programs and clinical case discussions.
Patient & Family Communication
Clearly explain diagnoses, treatment options, and prognoses to patients and their families.
Counsel families regarding lifestyle modification, disease prevention, and post-discharge care.
Required Skills & Competencies
Sound clinical acumen and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively under pressure
Knowledge of emergency protocols and ICU procedures
Proficiency in hospital software/EMR is an added advantage
Commitment to continuous learning and medical ethics
