Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned and strategic

General Manager - Tours & Travel

to lead the overall business operations of our travel division. The role requires strong leadership, deep industry knowledge, operational excellence, and the ability to drive growth, profitability, and service quality across domestic and international tour operations.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and oversee the complete Tours & Travel business operations Define operational strategy aligned with business and revenue goals Manage

domestic, inbound, and outbound tour operations

Drive profitability through pricing strategy, cost control, and vendor negotiations Build, mentor, and lead operations, sales support, and reservations teams Establish and monitor SOPs, service standards, and quality benchmarks Oversee vendor onboarding, contracts, and long-term partnerships Ensure exceptional guest experience and manage high-level escalations Work closely with Sales, Finance, Accounts, and Marketing teams Review MIS, P&L, budgets, and operational performance reports Identify new destinations, products, and business expansion opportunities Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and documentation requirements Represent the company in industry meetings and partner discussions

Candidate Profile

10-12 years of proven experience

in Tours & Travel / Destination Management Minimum

4-5 years in a senior leadership or GM-level role

preferred Strong understanding of tour operations, contracting, and revenue management Excellent leadership, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills Proven ability to scale operations and improve profitability Strong negotiation and vendor management capabilities Proficient in MS Office, CRM, and travel management systems

Preferred Qualifications

Graduate / Postgraduate in Travel & Tourism, Hospitality, or Management Experience in

corporate travel, MICE, luxury travel, or DMC operations
