: General Manager - Retail Shop

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented

General Manager - Retail Shop

to oversee end-to-end retail operations, drive sales growth, manage teams, and ensure excellent customer experience across the outlet(s). The role involves strategic planning, operational control, and profitability management.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee

overall retail shop operations

, including sales, inventory, staffing, and customer service. Drive

revenue growth, profitability, and cost control

. Develop and implement

sales strategies, promotions, and pricing plans

. Manage and mentor

store managers, supervisors, and retail staff

. Ensure high standards of

customer experience and service quality

. Monitor

inventory levels, shrinkage, and stock replenishment

. Review

daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports

(sales, margins, KPIs). Coordinate with procurement, logistics, marketing, and accounts teams. Ensure compliance with

company SOPs, audits, and statutory requirements

. Handle escalated customer or operational issues effectively. Support new store openings and expansion initiatives.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in

Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field

(MBA preferred).

6-12 years of experience

in retail operations, with

3+ years in a managerial role

. Proven experience in

multi-store or high-volume retail environments

. Strong leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills. Proficiency in

POS systems, inventory tools, and MS Excel

.

Preferred Skills

Experience in

food retail, cafe, QSR, or FMCG retail

. Strong understanding of

retail KPIs

(ATV, conversion, shrinkage, footfall). Excellent communication, negotiation, and people-management skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
