Position: General Manager Sales Location: Varanasi Industry: Spare Parts Job Summary: Company is a leading player in the spare parts industry, and is seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager - Sales to oversee and drive sales and distribution activities in Varanasi. The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 15 years of robust experience in sales and distribution, demonstrating exceptional leadership skills to manage a large team of Area Managers and Sales Executives. Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and expand market share in Varanasi and surrounding areas.
  • Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of Area Managers and Sales Executives to ensure high performance and productivity.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including dealers, distributors, and retailers, to enhance the distribution network and optimize sales channels.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify business opportunities and formulate effective sales strategies.
  • Implement effective sales processes, policies, and procedures to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
  • Monitor sales performance, analyze sales data, and generate reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional campaigns, advertising strategies, and product launches to boost sales and brand visibility.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards in all sales activities.
  • Provide timely and accurate forecasts, budget proposals, and sales projections to senior management for strategic decision-making.
  • Stay updated on industry developments, market trends, and emerging technologies to anticipate changes and adapt sales strategies accordingly
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in sales and distribution, preferably in the spare parts industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth in a competitive market environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office and CRM software.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
