Position Overview:

The

General Manager (GM)

will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end operations of the manufacturing unit, including production, quality control, maintenance, supply chain, and team management. The role demands a strategic leader with strong technical understanding and a proven ability to drive growth and efficiency in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production & Operations Management

Oversee daily plant operations to ensure optimal production efficiency and adherence to quality standards. Plan, organize, and control production schedules to meet customer demand and delivery timelines. Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.

2. Quality & Compliance

Ensure strict adherence to ISO and industry quality standards. Drive product quality improvement initiatives and reduce wastage and rework. Maintain compliance with environmental, safety, and statutory regulations.

3. Supply Chain & Inventory Control

Manage procurement, raw material planning, and vendor coordination. Optimize inventory levels to balance cost efficiency and uninterrupted production. Strengthen logistics and dispatch processes for timely delivery.

4. Maintenance & Engineering

Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs for machinery and equipment. Evaluate technology upgrades and automation opportunities to improve productivity.

5. Financial & Cost Management

Prepare and monitor budgets, production costs, and profitability metrics. Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities across operations.

6. People & Leadership

Lead and mentor cross-functional teams, fostering a performance-driven culture. Build capability within the workforce through training and skill development. Ensure effective communication and coordination between departments.

7. Strategic Planning & Growth

Contribute to long-term strategic planning and expansion initiatives. Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities. Support management in driving organizational growth and profitability.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education:

B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering (MBA preferred).

Experience:

Minimum

10 - 15 years

Experience in PVC pipes industry is preferred,

10 years Experience as senior management role is must

Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems, process optimization, Excellent leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills.
