Miracle Hub is hiring for our esteemed client, a well-established textile manufacturing company based in Surat, for the position of General Manager - Women's Dress Materials & Apparel Factory Operations.

Role Summary

The General Manager - Factory will be responsible for end-to-end management of the manufacturing unit producing women's fancy dress materials, suits, kurtis, gowns, and related apparel. The role requires overseeing all factory operations, production planning, team management, quality control, inventory & supply chain coordination -- effectively running the factory in the absence of owners/ promoters.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage overall factory operations: production planning, scheduling, workflow optimization. Manage all manufacturing processes: cutting, stitching / tailoring (if applicable), fabric processing, finishing, quality control and dispatch. Oversee workforce management: supervise, mentor and lead production floor teams, supervisors, quality & packing staff. Implement and enforce quality standards to ensure finished products meet company's design and quality guidelines. Coordinate with procurement, inventory, and supply-chain teams for raw materials (fabrics, trims, accessories) to ensure smooth production. Ensure timely order fulfillment, manage deadlines, and coordinate with sales / dispatch teams. Maintain production records, monitor output KPIs (output per month, wastage, rework %, capacity utilization). Address operational issues proactively -- machine breakdowns, manpower gaps, supply delays, quality deviations. In absence of owner / higher management, act as overall in-charge of factory: decision making, daily operations, escalation management. Work closely with senior management/ownership to provide updates, suggest improvements, plan capacity expansions if needed.

Must-Have Requirements

At least

8-12 years

of experience in

textile / garment manufacturing

, ideally in

women's dress materials / suits / kurtis / gowns

segment. Proven track record managing / heading a

factory or manufacturing plant

end-to-end operations. Strong people management skills -- ability to lead production teams, supervisors, labour staff, co-ordinate across departments. Understanding of fabric type, cutting & stitching (or stitching-outsource coordination), finishing / QC processes typical for woven or printed dress materials. Excellent organizational, planning, and decision-making ability. Good verbal and written communication (Hindi / Gujarati / English) for effective coordination with teams and management. Willingness to stay on-site / shift-based as per factory working hours (if applicable).

Nice-to-Have (Preferred)

Previous experience with women's dress materials, suits, kurtis manufacturing (fancy / ethnic wear). Knowledge of procurement/ supply-chain for textile raw materials, inventory management. Basic understanding of quality standards for ready-made garments / dress materials. Familiarity with local labour laws / compliances, factory safety norms. Exposure to scaling operations -- handling increased demand, production expansion, cost optimization.
