Job Summary

:

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced General Manager to oversee the overall operations of our steel plant. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in steel manufacturing, production planning, maintenance, and project execution, with hands-on experience in ERP systems for effective plant and resource management.

Key Responsibilities

:

Oversee and manage all plant operations including production, maintenance, quality, logistics, and safety. Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly production targets are met efficiently and cost-effectively. Monitor KPIs and performance metrics, and implement process improvements to optimize output. Coordinate with procurement and inventory teams for timely availability of raw materials. Lead and guide cross-functional teams to ensure smooth and efficient plant functioning. Ensure strict adherence to environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations. Manage plant budgets, cost control, and resource utilization. Prepare detailed production and performance reports for top management. Implement and maintain ERP system for planning, inventory control, production scheduling, and data reporting. Troubleshoot operational issues using real-time ERP dashboards and data analytics. Liaise with other departments like HR, Finance, and Sales for alignment of operational goals. Drive automation and digital transformation initiatives within the plant.

Key Skills and Competencies

:

Strong leadership and people management skills. In-depth knowledge of steel plant operations - SMS, Rolling Mill, Blast Furnace, etc. Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong communication and interdepartmental coordination abilities. Ability to lead large teams and manage a high-pressure environment.

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹440,000.00 per year
