General Manager-Sales Automobile)



The automotive dealership General Manager ensures the profitability of the dealership by overseeing the various departments which include variable operations (sales & financing), fixed operations (service & parts), and the business office (accounting & administration). Duties of the general manager include, but certainly not limited to, planning, motivating and coordinating the dealership's management through leadership and solid business practices.

Job duties for a general manger include:



Setting Up Process Note for all Dealership Branches of

"Sales RTO, Back End" & Customer complaints.

Need to be responsible for Target achievement of

'Sales'

Hiring all management positions, completing performance evaluations regularly and developing short and long-term goals for each department manager (includes administrative, sales, parts, collision and service departments). Planning and developing short and long-term goals and objectives annually, and submitting time projections to corporate management for approval. Effectively communicating with the comptroller/office manager on a weekly basis to review departmental forecasts and ensure consistency with annual projections. Paying close attention to daily operations, recommending and creating improved courses of action where necessary. Explaining the policies and procedures of the dealership to all employees and following up with employees to ensure that these issues are understood and followed. Providing dealership management with weekly reports on the financial condition of the dealership. Overseeing the monthly financial statement to ensure it is complete, accurate and submitted on time to the management/dealership owners. Coordinating with the business/administrative office to ensure that records and analyses are correctly maintained. Creating a good working relationship with lending institutions and manufacturer personnel and maintaining these relationships. Coordinating regular meetings with the managers of each department to ensure their profitability and efficiency. Overseeing the hiring and training of all department managers. Maintaining an enthusiastic attitude to build positive employee attitudes and morale. Overseeing and maintaining compensation plans for all employees. Creating cost-effective advertising programs and merchandising strategies for the dealership. Focusing on any customer complaints that department managers are unable to rectify and taking the necessary steps to resolve these complaints. Approves all sales incentives in writing before submitting to the office. Addresses customer complaints to ensure high level of customer satisfaction. Creates systems that ensure ongoing sales training, including weekly sales meetings. Audits all appraisals of trade-in vehicles. Attends auction at least once monthly. Reviews and initials all deals before they are posted. Facilitates new-vehicle pre-delivery with the service manager. Makes sure facility is secure, well lit, and professional in appearance. Maintains a professional appearance. Attends managers meetings as requested. Other tasks as assigned.

Tasks related to the management of human resources



Coordinating with Yamaha Staffs regarding requirement, bike allocation, purchase. Trains and motivates the personnel reporting to him/her and participates in hiring this personnel, together with the sales managers. Conducts formal evaluations of the performance of the personnel reporting to him, at set intervals. Ensures that the sales managers (new and previously used Bike) understand the dealership's sales policies, conditions and systems. Implements systems to promote ongoing training, including weekly sales team meetings. Encourages team work in a sales environment focused on the clientele, throughout the entire sales, delivery and follow-up process. Maintains efficient communications within the department, as well as between departments. Endeavours to promote harmony and a team spirit with all the other departments. Maintains a professional appearance. Performs other tasks, based on management requirements and instructions.

Automotive Sales Manager - Education and/or Experience



Minimum 8 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Handled a sales force team of at least 3 to 5 Branches Operation. Only Male Candidates Relevant Experience is Must
Plan, direct or coordinate the actual distribution or movement of product and its service to the customer. Coordinate sales distribution by establishing sales territories, sub-dealers, goals and establish training programs for sales representatives. Analyze sales statistics gathered by staff to determine sales potential and inventory requirements and monitor the preferences of customers. Drive the sales force for achieving monthly retail targets.
