The GM will be responsible for ensuring exceptional guest experiences, driving profitability, managing staff performance, and maintaining the highest standards across all departments including front office, F&B, housekeeping, maintenance, spa, and recreation. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong operational expertise, financial acumen, and a passion for hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operations Management
Lead and manage all resort departments to ensure smooth daily operations.
Ensure the highest standards of guest service, cleanliness, and safety.
Monitor and improve guest satisfaction through continuous improvement initiatives.
2. Financial Oversight
Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
Monitor P&L performance and implement cost control measures.
Identify new revenue opportunities and drive profitability.
3. Staff Leadership
Recruit, train, and retain a high-performing team across all departments.
Set performance goals and conduct regular evaluations.
Foster a positive and productive work environment.
4. Guest Relations
Handle VIPs, complaints, and special requests professionally and promptly.
Monitor online reviews and implement strategies for reputation management.
Ensure personalized guest experiences to build loyalty and repeat business.
5. Sales & Marketing Support
Work with marketing and sales teams to promote the resort and increase occupancy.
Participate in strategic planning for marketing campaigns, events, and partnerships.
6. Compliance & Safety
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
Oversee health & safety, fire protocols, and emergency preparedness.
Maintain licensing, insurance, and certifications as required.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field. MBA preferred.
8+ years of hospitality experience, with at least 3 years in a GM or senior leadership role.
Proven track record in resort operations, team leadership, and guest satisfaction.
Strong financial and analytical skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
Proficiency in property management systems (PMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualities:
Multilingual abilities.
International resort experience.
Experience with eco-tourism or wellness resorts.
Familiarity with sustainability initiatives in hospitality.
