Job Description

Legal & Regulatory Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with corporate, labour, and environmental laws.
• Oversee generic compliance such as PF, employee compensation, labour law regulations, and taxation.
• Manage industry-specific compliance, including licenses for land usage, warehouse agreements, environmental health & safety standards, and industrial permits.
• Develop internal policies to align with government regulations and corporate governance.
• Collaborate with legal teams to mitigate legal risks and ensure timely audits.

Public Affairs & Government Relations

• Liaison with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and industry associations to ensure compliance driven operations.
• Act as an authorized spokesperson for the company in matters associated with regulatory compliance.
• Monitor government policies and regulations that impact the biofuel and energy sector.
• Represent the company at regulatory meetings, industry forums, and public engagements.

Stakeholder & Community Management:

• Act as a liaison between the company and local authorities for business approvals, land use permits, and policy advocacy.
• Work with local communities and municipalities to address business concerns. Handle public grievances, crisis communication, and reputation management strategies.

Qualifications & Experience:

• 8-15 years of experience in corporate compliance, public affairs, and regulatory management. Strong knowledge of labour laws, environmental regulations, industrial safety compliance, and corporate governance.
• Experience in dealing with government agencies, local authorities, and media organizations.
• Proven ability to navigate legal frameworks, obtain permits, and ensure compliance.
• Prior experience in industries such as agriculture, renewable energy, logistics, or industrial manufacturing is preferred.
• Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and crisis resolution skills.
