The General Manager - Operations will be responsible for end-to-end execution of retail interior projects, ensuring smooth workflow from feasibility study to final inspection. The role demands strong leadership, cross-functional coordination, and expertise in project management, production, procurement, quality, and installation.
Key Responsibilities
Feasibility Study & Planning
Review client requirements, drawings, and details for project feasibility.
Coordinate with Sales, Design, and Finance teams to prepare project estimates and timelines.
Approve quotations and project budgets.
Procurement & Resource Management
Oversee preparation of BOQ/BOM and material indenting.
Authorize purchase orders for raw materials and project requirements.
Ensure timely vendor sourcing, negotiation, and purchase entry in alignment with company policies.
Monitor GRN (Goods Received Note) and inventory levels.
Production & Execution
Supervise in-house production processes (metal, carpentry, signage, painting, polishing).
Manage outsourcing activities (laser cutting, router, coating processes).
Approve detailed shop drawings before production.
Ensure quality checks at each stage of production and assembly.
Logistics & Installation
Oversee dispatch and logistics planning.
Ensure timely delivery and installation of fixtures at client sites.
Coordinate with project teams for smooth execution on-site.
Quality Assurance & Inspection
Implement quality standards across production and installation stages.
Conduct final inspections and ensure adherence to client specifications.
Address and resolve issues related to defects, delays, or client escalations.
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management
Lead cross-functional teams (sales, design, purchase, production, quality, installation).
Foster strong vendor and client relationships.
Drive operational excellence and continuous process improvements.

Qualifications & Experience

Proven track record of handling large-scale projects from planning to inspection.
