We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead our establishment, ensuring exceptional service and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the hospitality industry, particularly within restaurant or hotel settings, and possess a passion for food and customer service. This role requires a leader who can effectively manage a team, oversee food preparation and production, and maintain high standards of food safety.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of the restaurant or hotel, ensuring a seamless guest experience
Manage and supervise staff, fostering a positive team environment while providing leadership and guidance
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas
Coordinate food preparation and production processes to guarantee quality and consistency in all dishes served
Develop and implement training programmes for staff on culinary techniques, hospitality standards, and customer service
Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies to ensure efficient kitchen operations
Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism, striving for complete customer satisfaction
Collaborate with chefs to create innovative menu items that reflect current trends while maintaining cost efficiency
Experience
The successful candidate will possess:
Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within the hospitality sector, preferably in restaurants or hotels
Strong culinary experience with knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
Demonstrated ability in team management, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluation
Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations to ensure compliance within the kitchen environment
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff towards achieving operational goals
Previous experience as a barista or in serving roles is advantageous but not essential
