Essential Qualification:

Diploma Mechanical Engineering / B.E. Mechanical Engineering

Experience:

10 - 15 Years of experience in

precision manufacturing industry

in a senior leadership role

SKILLS

Strong leadership and decision-making ability

Deep understanding of

precision machining processes

Expertise in

Lean, Six Sigma, and Quality Systems

and strong adherence to Quality Standards

Financial acumen and P & L ownership

Excellent positive communication and stakeholder management

Hands-on, shop-floor oriented mindset

Thorough knowledge on

CNC, VMC & Grinding

Machines

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Plant Operations & Production Management

Lead and oversee

daily plant operations

including CNC, VMC, Grinding machining, turning, milling, grinding, surface finishing, welding & assembly, etc., Ensure achievement of

production targets

with optimal utilization of manpower, machines, tooling, and materials. Drive

throughput improvement, cycle time reduction, and line balancing

. Ensure adherence to

process capability requirements (Cp, Cpk)

for precision components.

2. Quality Management & Compliance

Ensure strict compliance with

IATF 16949 / ISO 9001

. Own

customer audits, third-party audits, and certification renewals

. Drive

zero-defect culture

through robust APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, and Control Plans. Lead

root cause analysis

for customer complaints, internal rejections, and field failures. Ensure traceability, calibration, and metrology excellence.

3. Continuous Improvement & Lean Manufacturing

Champion

Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and 5S

initiatives. Lead

cost reduction programs

(scrap reduction, rework elimination, tooling optimization). Drive

OEE improvement

, preventive & predictive maintenance practices. Foster a culture of

data-driven decision making

and problem solving.

4. Financial & Commercial Accountability

Own

plant P&L

, budgeting, and cost control. Monitor and optimize

conversion cost, material yield, inventory turns, and working capital

. Support

quotation, feasibility, and capacity planning

for new business. Collaborate with sales and customers on

pricing, ramp-ups, and long-term agreements

.

5. Supply Chain & Vendor Management

Ensure uninterrupted supply of

raw materials, consumables, tools, and spares

. Develop and manage

strategic vendors

for quality, cost, and delivery performance. Drive

localization and dual sourcing

to reduce risk and cost. Optimize

inventory levels

without compromising customer commitments.

6. People Leadership & Talent Development

Lead, mentor, and develop

production, quality, maintenance, engineering, and support teams

. Build a strong

second line of leadership

through training and succession planning. Drive

skill development programs

for CNC operators, setters, programmers, and engineers. Foster a culture of

accountability, engagement, and continuous learning

.

7. Safety, EHS & Sustainability

Ensure compliance with

statutory, legal, and environmental regulations

. Drive a

zero-accident culture

through proactive safety practices. Implement

energy conservation, waste reduction, and sustainability initiatives

.

8. New Product Introduction (NPI) & Technology Upgradation

Lead

NPI projects

from feasibility to mass production. Drive adoption of

advanced machining technologies

, automation, robotics, and Industry 4.0 solutions. Oversee

capex planning

, machine selection, layout optimization, and commissioning.
