Job Summary:
The Mall General Manager is responsible for the overall strategic direction, operational efficiency, financial performance, and customer satisfaction of the furniture mall. This role requires a visionary leader who can drive sales, optimize store operations, manage a large team, and ensure a premium shopping experience for all customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Business Development:
Develop and execute comprehensive business plans to achieve sales targets, profitability, and market share objectives.
Identify new business opportunities, trends, and market demands within the furniture industry.
Oversee the development and implementation of marketing and promotional strategies.
Formulate and implement long-term goals for growth and expansion.
Operations Management:
Ensure the smooth and efficient operation of all mall departments, including sales, logistics, customer service, and visual merchandising.
Establish and enforce operational policies, procedures, and standards to optimize efficiency and minimize costs.
Manage inventory levels, ensure effective stock rotation, and minimize shrinkage.
Oversee maintenance, security, and cleanliness of the mall premises.
Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and labor regulations.
Financial Management:
Develop, manage, and control the mall's budget, ensuring financial targets are met or exceeded.
Monitor sales performance, analyze financial data, and prepare regular reports for senior management.
Implement cost-control measures and identify areas for efficiency improvements.
Manage vendor relationships and negotiate favorable terms.
Team Leadership & Development:
Recruit, train, mentor, and motivate a high-performing team.
Conduct performance appraisals, provide constructive feedback, and identify training needs.
Foster a positive and productive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.
Resolve employee relations issues and ensure fair and consistent application of company policies.
Customer Experience:
Ensure exceptional customer service standards are consistently met across all touchpoints.
Address and resolve customer complaints and issues efficiently and professionally.
Implement strategies to enhance the overall customer shopping experience and foster customer loyalty.
Visual Merchandising & Store Presentation:
Oversee the implementation of visual merchandising strategies to create an appealing and inspiring shopping environment.
Ensure that furniture displays are attractive, well-maintained, and reflect current trends.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field (Master's preferred).
Minimum of 10+ years of experience in retail management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, preferably in a large format retail environment or furniture industry.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving profitability.
Strong financial acumen and experience with budgeting and P&L management.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.
Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
Proficiency in retail management software and MS Office Suite.
