To lead and drive the business growth of the EPC division by identifying new opportunities, building strategic partnerships, developing client relationships, and ensuring successful bid management for large infrastructure, industrial, and energy projects. The role requires a strong understanding of EPC operations, market dynamics, and techno-commercial strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets.

Key Responsibilities



1. Strategic Planning & Market Development



Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with corporate growth objectives. Identify new markets, clients, and business opportunities in sectors such as

power, oil & gas, renewable energy, infrastructure, and industrial projects

. Conduct market intelligence, competitor analysis, and feasibility studies for new ventures. Formulate long-term growth plans and partnership models (JV, consortium, alliances, etc.).

2. Client Relationship Management



Build and maintain strong relationships with government authorities, PSUs, private clients, consultants, and key decision-makers. Represent the company in industry forums, exhibitions, and conferences to promote brand visibility. Manage key accounts and ensure continuous engagement for repeat business.

3. Bid Management & Tendering



Oversee the end-to-end tendering process -- from identifying opportunities (EOIs, RFPs, RFQs) to final submission. Coordinate with engineering, estimation, and finance teams for technical and commercial bid preparation. Negotiate terms, scope, and contracts with clients to secure profitable projects. Ensure compliance with contractual, legal, and financial requirements.

4. Strategic Alliances & Partnerships



Develop and manage strategic tie-ups with international EPC players, OEMs, and technology providers. Identify and structure consortiums for large-scale or complex projects. Lead discussions for MoUs, NDAs, and joint venture agreements.

5. Financial & Commercial Acumen



Drive profitability by ensuring optimal pricing, cost control, and commercial risk management. Review project cash flows, margins, and payment terms in coordination with finance. Monitor key performance indicators for revenue growth and order book expansion.

6. Leadership & Team Development



Lead and mentor the business development team to enhance performance and capability. Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, project management, procurement, and legal teams. Foster a culture of proactive business hunting and professional client servicing.

Desired Profile



Education



B.E./B.Tech (Civil / Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation) MBA (Marketing / Strategy / International Business) preferred

Experience



15-25 years

of experience in Business Development, Marketing, or Strategy in EPC companies (in sectors such as infrastructure, energy, oil & gas, or industrial projects). Proven track record of handling large-value EPC contracts and key client relationships.

Skills & Competencies




Strong techno-commercial knowledge of EPC business models. Excellent negotiation, networking, and presentation skills. Strategic thinking and financial acumen. Leadership and people management. * Understanding of tendering, contract management, and risk evaluation.
