Draft and review agreements (sale, JDA, partnership).
Ensure compliance with RERA and other statutory registrations.
Handle title verification, due diligence, and land acquisition processes.
Collaborate with external counsel on litigation and legal matters.
2. Government Liaising & Approvals
Coordinate with government bodies for project-related approvals (building, fire safety, environmental).
Liaise with municipal corporations and statutory authorities.
Ensure timely submission and follow-up on required documentation.
3. Regulatory Affairs Management
Track legal/regulatory changes affecting real estate and construction.
Ensure company-wide compliance with labor, environmental, and construction laws.
Maintain strong relations with regulatory consultants and advisors.
Prepare compliance documentation and periodic reports.
4. Risk Management & Mitigation
Identify and mitigate legal risks associated with projects.
Handle dispute resolution, arbitration, and settlements.
Implement a legal risk assessment framework and SOPs.
5. Team Management & Development
Lead legal and liaison teams, ensuring timely and accurate outputs.
Conduct training on compliance and regulatory updates.
Build relationships with external legal firms and government agents.
6. Strategic Legal Advisory
Provide legal input for business decisions, JVs, and expansion projects.
Review and negotiate contracts with vendors and partners.
Support deal structuring for new developments and maintain a legal knowledge base.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB); Master's Degree preferred.
8-12 years of experience in real estate law and regulatory compliance.
Deep understanding of RERA, property law, corporate law, and approval procedures.
