The future is exciting as we have embarked on a transformation journey, enabling the business to double in size within the next 3-5 years by significantly growing in the Media and Telco industries, while also making a differentiated foray into IoT services. We are setting up our India Innovation Centre (IIC) in Hyderabad focussing on embedded systems research and innovation, and as a centre of excellence for Cloud & AI. The IIC will also form part of our core delivery network along with Poland, UK and the US.

What are we looking for

Very simply, we are looking for a senior executive with a background in embedded systems engineering who can build, lead and grow our IIC and can be our General Manager in India. The individual will be an integral part of the company\xe2\x80\x99s Extended Leadership Team, contributing not only to our Indian organisation but also to our global strategy and operations.

You will spend your time by...

• Building and managing the core technical team and related operations team, by working with our recruitment team and using your personal networks
• Advising the wider organisation on running our business in India from a cultural and best practices perspective
• Liaising with our real estate, tax, regulatory, accounting, legal, HR and other consultants in India, if necessary, with regards to planning and compliance matters related to our business
• Driving local teams to integrate fully with the wider organisation and ensure the IIC demonstrates our values to our clients and to each other
• Working with Global HR to ensure high employee satisfaction and retention of employees. Also contribute to talent management through the appraisal process, and talent development through training and other means
• Actively representing and promoting (when necessary) Consult Red in India in industry forums, government agencies, ecosystem partners, educational institutions and other organisations in India important for the growth of our business
• Meeting and managing clients with the primary aim of providing high confidence in the innovation and delivery capability of our India organisation, and the overall value being delivered to the client
• Ensuring delivery of client projects and internal initiatives (innovation or otherwise) are of a high standard
• Working with the central Finance team to build, monitor and manage the IIC budgets on an annual, quarterly, and monthly basis
• Oversee day to day operations, including reporting, adherence to policies and procedures
• Work with the company\xe2\x80\x99s leadership team in setting and executing short-, medium- and long-term strategy related to IIC and the overall company

• A flexible \xe2\x80\x9ccan-do\xe2\x80\x9d attitude, along with the capability to roll-up your sleeves and get into the details of execution of initiatives, where required
• An Outcome oriented person, with a prob-solving attitude
• Strong analytical skills
• Outstanding organisation and leadership skills
• Prior experience as a General Manager or similar Executive role
• Knowledge of business process and function (sales, operations, HR, finance, delivery and technology)
• Significant experience of working in the embedded systems / engineering industry (ideally over 15 years)
• Deep experience of building and managing a medium / large pool of engineering talent (ideally over 10 years)
• Fluent in written and spoken English, with experience of working for multi-national companies
