General Manager - Factory (Alcohol Bottling Plant)

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented General Manager - Factory to lead and manage our alcohol bottling operations in Goa. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical and managerial expertise in bottling, blending, marketing coordination, and overall plant administration. The role demands leadership, operational efficiency, and a deep understanding of both domestic and export-quality production standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage the entire bottling plant operations with a production capacity of up to 50,000 cases per month. Ensure smooth functioning of blending, bottling, packaging, and dispatch activities in compliance with excise and statutory norms. Maintain and monitor quality control parameters to meet both domestic and export-quality standards. Manage and coordinate all administrative, production, and marketing functions within the plant. Develop and implement cost-control strategies, production planning, and efficiency improvement initiatives. Supervise and train staff to ensure productivity, disc ipline, and safety compliance at all times. Liaise with the marketing and sales departments to align production with business requirements. Coordinate with excise officers, government departments, and logistic partners for all regulatory and operational approvals. Ensure regular reporting on production performance, inventory, manpower, and compliance to senior management.
Required Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Science / Engineering / Management (MBA preferred). Minimum 12-15 years of experience in alcohol bottling, blending, or distillery operations. Proven experience managing a large-scale bottling unit with end-to-end responsibility. Strong understanding of blending processes, packaging standards, and excise documentation. Excellent administrative, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to handle multi-department coordination and maintain operational discipline.
Preferred Attributes:

Prior experience working in Goa or Western region-based distilleries/bottling units. Exposure to export-quality production and compliance requirements. Strong decision-making, team management, and problem-solving abilities. Ready to relocate or operate full-time from Goa.
