Summary/Objective The General Manager of Engineering ensures increasing levels of customer and employee satisfaction while improving the efficiency of manpower, materials and machines. Essential Functions/Responsibilities

• Designs, implements and refines product development, testing, and manufacturing processes.
• Responsible for getting engineering business from inter-companies.
• Manages staff and assigns tasks to engineering and technical personnel.
• Lead teams in the development of new products, solutions, and processes.
• Serve in a supervisory capacity to help oversee technical and engineering teams within the company, leading a large team of 60 engineers and ensure that projects are completed on-budget and in a timely manner.
• Assess the feasibility of potential design projects, determining what resources are required to complete them, recruiting, and managing employees, and serving as a liaison between team members and upper management.
• Knowledge of various codes and requirement (ASME/CE/PED/AS/ EIGA/CGA/PESO/API)
• Ensuring the validity of methods used by engineering staff and reviewing all important technical content for accuracy.
• Generate progress reports or problem resolution reports to upper management that detail how the manager\'s team has performed.
• Oversee project costing, budgets and maintain virtual P&L statements of engineering function
• Manage the senior members of each engineering discipline.
• Ensure compliance with project-specific contracts and customer requirements.
• Develop detailed plans for new designs and products
• Responsible for facilitating training and development of engineering team members.
• Responsible for the quality of work and cost management of the department
• Developing, and improving the processes within the engineering function

Supervisory Responsibility This position has direct supervisory responsibilities and does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department. Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers, and smartphones. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. Education, Experience and Skills

• A bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in engineering (mechanical or chemical) is required and +20 years of overall experience and about 10 years of experience in a senior management role of an engineering company. Experience in the design of Air separation plants and LNG plants is a necessity.
• Competent in multi-disciplinary management, electrical, instrumentation, mechanical design, and structural.
• Verbal communication skills: speaks clearly and persuasively to convey information effectively; actively listens to understand, asks questions as appropriate and responds well to questions.
• Written communication skills: write clearly and informatively, providing detailed documentation, analysis, specifications and recommendations to others.
• Analytical skills: identifies complex problems and reviews related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions or corrective actions; considers the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate solutions or alternatives; determines how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes; identifies measures or indicator of system performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance.
• Work demeanor: Diligent, well organized, disciplined, hands-on and professional work ethic that executes and reinforces Engineering Best Practices.
• Organizational skills: Manages and completes projects on time and meets quality requirements; plans, prioritizes, and organizes work to achieve design, production and quality goals and objectives with excellent follow through and follow up on assigned projects.
• Interpersonal skills: Builds positive team spirit by developing constructive and cooperative working relationships to achieve margin improvement goals and objectives.
• Computer skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, proficiency in ANSYS and other analytical software.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, work independently, and be detail-oriented and thorough.
