A General Manager - Content will be responsible for managing content strategy and overseeing production, while also engaging with governmental bodies, such as Ministries, will play a critical leadership role in both internal content development and external relationships. This role combines high-level content management with strategic liaison and communication with government stakeholders, ensuring that the company's content initiatives align with governmental policies, regulations, and opportunities. The General Manager will need to navigate the complexities of content creation while fostering positive relationships with government entities to support business goals.
Roles and Responsibilities
Work with content team on a daily basis for smooth execution of tasks and ensure timely delivery of content outputs.
Organize and facilitate regular meetings with internal teams, other functions and vendors, as required.
Ensure resolution of any conflicts in a seamless manner Content review and inputs to the team.
Review and provide inputs to all technical content briefs developed for key outputs.
Strategize and contribute to the creative process as required.
Work with multidisciplinary teams within Organization to finalize content for outputs.
Ensure research findings are incorporated in content.
Review content and finalize changes.
Work with and support internal teams to ensure timely development and delivery of content.
Implementing and managing changes and interventions to ensure program goals are achieved, including monitoring of results after the content is handed over for implementation.
Provide strategic inputs to overall program implementation.
Create reports and presentations as required.
Develop and maintain timelines for content development.
Manage external vendors for delivery of outputs and resolution of conflicts, if any.
Ensure content is compliant with Organization's quality standards.
Ensure compliance with processes for content development and review.
Travel to monitor and oversee project implementation as required.
Organize meetings and workshops as required
Qualification & Skills
MBA or Master's degree in media and communications, public health or related field or bachelor's degree with relevant work experience.
Relevant experience working in a similar content/communications specialist role, or project management role desirable.
8-10 years' work experience in a not-for-profit organization, in public health or related field.
Strategic planner and thinker, specialized skills in program development and management activities such as planning, implementing and monitoring projects, excellent organizational skills, excellent writing skills.
Delegations of tasks, effective communication within the team and with other functions, conflict resolution, strong emotional intelligence to handle team member's issues in an empathetic way.
Personal efficiency, time management skills and the ability to prioritize competing demands are key.
Excellent verbal and written English & Hindi language communication skills; Strong writing and editing skills, with a high-level of attention to detail; Ability to read and interpret complex documents, and communicate information effectively to others, with strong interpersonal skills.
Experience in managing projects, monitoring and reporting project progress, experience in working on communications and media for development related projects, experience in video and audio production and production management preferred.
Technologically proficient in MS Office, social media and internet applications.
